Manners, Oscar cogitates.
It was the size of a small town. Clouds didn't hover above it as much as veer round it and it was at my dish eating my meal. Fortunately when I sank my teeth and claws in it's back leg to explain the obvious error the jaws couldn't reach me.
"Oscaaar, play nice" I heard.
Who's playing?
"You really should control your animal Lady Julia" she was told by the angry owner.
Well no actually Madam. You should instruct your pet it is manners to wait to be invited to eat before ploughing into someone else's dishes. And furthermore, if it does so uninvited perhaps you should be exercising a little control. Lady Julia who you know is My 'The Her' is a lot more polite than I though and said nothing.
It's strange how many visitors bring their pets with them when they come to call. No-one would dream of taking a cat on a visit, not that we're pets of course, and not that we could actually be taken anywhere anyway.
It was this train of thought that led me to contemplate the differences between the races while I lay here avoiding the skywater this light. We cats, though once considered as Gods are the most easygoing of the races despite our demotion in the eyes of the world. Longlegs appear to be able to think, though they need a lot of feline guidance, while the rest are usually just pets or wild animals waiting to be made into pets by someone with more money than sense. We cats are superior in every way and yet we don't actually rule. That's probably because, and I hate to admit this, we're a little lazy sometimes. Don't misunderstand me though, the sight of us lying about with whiskers quivering isn't a sign of inactivity, just of our languid method of thinking.
Longlegs on the other hand seem to rule most everything else and spend an inordinate amount of time fighting each other to do so. Yet even as they fight each other there are still manners of a sort. Sometimes they allow time for each other to change their minds about actions before declaring open warfare on each other, whereas we cats act there and then to what happens instead of wasting valuable time, like in allowing our dishes to be emptied. Longlegs say " Stop eating from my dish or we are at war." Cats say "Stop eating out of my dish, grommmph."
On the boxes they keep in the corner of their rooms the Longlegs are currently at war again. I see it all the time at the Holimpics that people chase each other and try to outshine each other. Whereas the occasional "Would you like to go first" or "no, I don't mind if you jump into the water before me" might go a long way to stopping these situations getting out of control. It all boils down to manners and it's my thought that all young should be taught these. Cats don't really need them of course but it's good to set an example.
Now if you'll forgive me, I understand the Fursty Ferret has chicken today and I want to see if I can borrow some. That's manners see.

Scary Things in Google
So , Today I'm scared. I've just seen the Google Ambassadors Blogspot.

Why Scared? Absolutely Nothing! They have quoted pieces from other Ambassadors but that achieved about the same.But, we have seen the famous Col ( honorary Title) David Jeffrey Wright grant Facebook Ambassadorship to friends despite knowing they are involved in fraud on the net. We have also seen the Colonel say he would like to see a Coup on the Isle of Mann by his friend David Howe who claims to be the King of Mann.
Quite apart from the obvious insult to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who is the ONLY Monarch of the Isle of Mann, is the thought that this seems inappropriate behaviour from an Ambassador.
Ambassador Karen Cantrell who has been involved ( and probably still is) in the selling of Fake Titles is there on the Google Blogspot happily proclaiming how good the Google Ambassadorships will be under Globcal which is the Colonel's company.
OK, so we have Facebook Ambassadors who achieve nothing. We have a Company which promotes the use of Ambassadors and we have the man who runs the company who promotes Coups, Crooks, and Fake claimants to thrones.What is he doing on Google?
Well, supposedly his Ambassadors will promote Respect, Fair Play, will prevent duplicate accounts and prevent fraud. How ? By having access to your work? By merely suggesting you do things differently? How? I don't want Col. Wright having free access to my work as I may find that he can act as CENSOR. I don't trust him or Globcal based on his works so far.
I know this may upset some people but I do firmly believe that both Facebook and Blog sites need policing in some way. On Facebook are the frauds like Lady Grania Mountbatten who adopt a false personna in order to benefit themselves with invites etc. There are Frauds like Lord Buck Rogers whose claims to have been Knighted in an Honours list are totally false and whose Charity requests are under investigation. There are those who adopt the name of famous people often much to the annoyance of the real person. There are those who are abusive and those who promote racial hatred.All of these need Policing. Those who just post as normal should have nothing to worry about. But the policing should not be done by those whose ethics are under question like GLOBCAL.
What gives me cause to think it might be them? Well read on......
False profile solution

I have been working on this now for nearly a year, as a policy analyst and strategist I wanted to develop a system that allowed me and my clients to be sure who they were communicating with. The system is still a short time away but it creates total integrity for those who engage it, it does so far require that users take approximately 2-5 hours and complete some forms.
Once the user implements the system into their profiles it obligates websites to remove false profiles and block new users from creating profiles that use the same name.
I will be pleased when the system is complete and our team has adequate financing to implement it.”
So where is the funding from? How much access to accounts will Globcal have? Should we be looking at letting the Questionable Colonel do this job? I don't think so. Perhaps a Facebook group like Online Security Alliance International should be given a chance. A neutral group who would allow a panel to decide on reports of misbehaviour.

After reading the above, World Leaders Coilition Program I started to quake.
World Leaders Coalition Program - Honorable Presidents and Ministers
This is an impressive list and yet I doubt that they have agreed to join a coilition program like this for Ambassadors. Why?, well on the list are people who do not share the same beliefs and ideologies.
In the late 1990's when Col. David Jeffrey Wright was a known ecologist with a great record he sold his business to a conglomerate with whom he had battled and left the US to live in Venuzuela.
On the list of Leaders of the coalition is Hugo Chavez of Venezuela who is the proclaimed enemy of US policy and who removed any element of the media who isagreed with his leadership. A strange person for Co. Wright to have on his list. He also includes Gordon Brown of the UK who is neither the leader of his own party or an elected leader of the Country, who inherited the position from the previous incumbent.This is a man who has bankrupted the UK and yet would be acceptable to the Colonel in his program. Gordon Brown is also a man who would not be willing to back a man who supports a fake claimant to a part of the UK and who supports a coup there. So what likelihood is there that he is really part of the Colonel's program?
Time for Facebook and Google to take a long hard look at Globcal and see whether they really do want to associate themselves with this group and it's leader and expect to keep a good name. I am not the only one who finds the acceptance of Facebook and Google of these so called Ambassadors of respect to be an anachronism.
